Spooky in Love Takes No. 1 as Three New Dramas Enter the K-drama Buzz Rankings
Spooky in Love rose one place to No. 1 in Good Data Corporation’s latest TV-OTT drama buzz rankings, updated on August 25, 2026. The tvN romantic comedy captured 18.52% of the week’s Buzz Share, knocking A Shop for Killers Season 2 out of the No. 1 spot after three consecutive weeks at the top. A Shop for Killers Season 2 fell two places to No. 3 with 9.97% Buzz Share.
A Bona Fide Killer climbed two places to No. 2 with 10.92%, while Mousetrap and New Recruit 4: Sabotage entered the Top 10. Dream to You re-entered the rankings after dropping out two weeks ago, while Our Sticky Love fell a dramatic seven places to No. 10.
The Affair Was Just the Beginning dropped out of the Top 10 after three consecutive weeks in the rankings.
Unlike television ratings, the FUNdex rankings measure online conversation across news articles, blogs, social media, online communities, and video platforms, providing a snapshot of which dramas audiences are talking about most.

Note: FUNdex measures online discussion rather than television ratings or streaming views. Dramas and performers may appear based on buzz generated by trailers, promotional events, casting news, interviews, and other online activity, including before a drama officially premieres. 🆕 New means new to this week’s Top 10 table, not necessarily a newly released K-drama or a performer making their debut. 🔁 RE means a drama previously appeared in the Top 10, dropped out, and has now re-entered the rankings.
What’s New This Week
Two dramas entered the TV-OTT Top 10 this week. Mousetrap arrived at No. 7 with 5.68% Buzz Share, followed by New Recruit 4: Sabotage at No. 8 with 4.41%. Dream to You, which had fallen out of the Top 10, re-entered at No. 9 with 4.30%. Those changes pushed The Apartment Job, A Trap Called Desire, and The Affair Was Just the Beginning out of the rankings.
The performer table also added five new entries. Ryu Jun-yeol entered at No. 5 for Mousetrap, Jung Jun-won ranked No. 7 for A Bona Fide Killer, Kang Hoon appeared at No. 8 for My Bias, My Boss, HANI entered at No. 9 for Love on the Menu, and Hye-ri ranked No. 10 for Dream to You.
Three Takeaways From This Week’s Rankings
🚀Spooky in Love moves into first with a clear lead
Spooky in Love climbed from No. 2 to No. 1 as its Buzz Share rose from 12.12% to 18.52%. It now leads A Bona Fide Killer by 7.60 percentage points. Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong also hold the top two performer positions, indicating that conversation around the drama remains closely tied to its leads.
🔄 A Shop for Killers Season 2 loses its three-week hold on No. 1
A Shop for Killers Season 2 fell to No. 3 after leading the drama table for three consecutive updates. Its Buzz Share declined from 22.42% to 9.97%, while Lee Dong-wook is now the drama’s only performer in the Top 10. The change shows a smaller share of this week’s tracked conversation, not necessarily a matching decline in absolute discussion volume.
📈 Re-entry and new arrivals reshape the lower half
Mousetrap and New Recruit 4: Sabotage entered at Nos. 7 and 8, while Dream to You re-entered the Top 10 at No. 9. Mousetrap also placed Ryu Jun-yeol at No. 5 in the performer ranking, while Dream to You placed Hye-ri at No. 10. Together, the two new arrivals and one re-entry gave the lower half of the drama table a noticeably different look this week.
Reading Between the Numbers
This week’s rankings show a change at the top and a crowded middle. Spooky in Love holds 18.52% of drama buzz and the top two performer positions, giving it the strongest combined showing across the two FUNdex tables. Park Eun-bin’s 7.59% performer share is also more than two points ahead of Yang Se-jong at No. 2.
A Bona Fide Killer moved to No. 2 in the drama ranking and placed two performers in the Top 10. Gong Hyo-jin ranks No. 3, while Jung Jun-won entered at No. 7. That pairing suggests the drama’s rise is accompanied by notable attention around more than one cast member.
The gap from No. 4 Flex x Cop 2 to No. 7 Mousetrap is only 0.70 percentage points, indicating that relatively small changes in Buzz Share could reorder much of the middle of the table next week. My Bias, My Boss is especially notable within that group because Kim Hye-jun and Kang Hoon both appear in the performer Top 10.
Dream to You also appears to have benefited from a finale-week boost. The drama re-entered the Top 10 at No. 9 as its final two episodes aired during the FUNdex measurement period, including the series finale on August 18. Post-finale coverage and cast interviews continued through the week, while Hye-ri also entered the performer ranking at No. 10. Together, those results suggest renewed online attention around the drama as it concluded.
Our Sticky Love presents the week’s sharpest contrast within FUNdex. It fell from No. 3 to No. 10, and its leads no longer appear in the performer Top 10. Its Netflix results, however, tell a different story about worldwide streaming activity.
Global Streaming Snapshot
K-dramas claimed four spots in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows for the week of August 17 to August 23, 2026.
Our Sticky Love was the highest-ranking K-drama at No. 2 with 3.7 million views. Spooky in Love followed at No. 4 with 2.7 million views, while The Apartment Job ranked No. 9 with 1.1 million views. Teach You a Lesson ranked No. 10, also with 1.1 million views.

Spooky in Love is performing strongly across both measures, ranking No. 1 in Korean online buzz and No. 4 in Netflix’s global streaming chart. Our Sticky Love shows a strong contrast across the two datasets: it fell to No. 10 on FUNdex but ranked No. 2 globally on Netflix with 3.7 million views.
The Apartment Job also demonstrates why the rankings should be read separately. It left the FUNdex Top 10 this week but remained in Netflix’s global chart at No. 9.
Teach You a Lesson, meanwhile, re-entered Netflix’s Global Top 10 at No. 10 after a two-week absence, extending its overall chart run to 10 weeks.
Agent Kim Reactivated, which had maintained a lengthy run on Netflix’s chart, finally dropped out of the Global Top 10 this week. Together, the results illustrate how Korean online buzz and worldwide streaming activity can follow very different trajectories. FUNdex measures online buzz around Korean TV and OTT content, while Netflix reports worldwide viewing activity on its platform.
Beyond Netflix
See You at Work Tomorrow! remained among Prime Video’s most-watched non-English original series worldwide for the week of August 17 to August 23. The South Korean drama held No. 5, unchanged from the previous week.
For a third consecutive week, the drama did not appear in Prime Video’s overall Top 10 Original series ranking, which combines English and non-English titles.

See You at Work Tomorrow! also remains outside the current FUNdex drama Top 10. Its continued No. 5 position among Prime Video’s non-English originals shows that it is still reaching an international audience even though it is no longer among the week’s leading dramas in Korean online buzz.
Looking Ahead
The next FUNdex update will show whether Spooky in Love can maintain its new No. 1 position and continue placing both leads at the top of the performer ranking. A Bona Fide Killer is also worth watching after rising to No. 2 and placing two performers in the Top 10.
The two new arrivals and one re-entry will face their first week-to-week test in their current positions, particularly Mousetrap, which debuted highest and placed Ryu Jun-yeol at No. 5 among performers. Dream to You will also be worth watching to see whether its finale-week rebound carries into the next ranking. The narrow margins from Nos. 4 through 7 leave the middle of the table especially open to movement.
Our Sticky Love will be another key title to follow. Its FUNdex position fell sharply even as it became the week’s highest-ranking K-drama on Netflix, creating a clear contrast between domestic online buzz and global streaming performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is FUNdex?
