I just finished watching Vincenzo — and wow, what a ride.

This K-drama is slick, stylish, and full of unexpected emotional depth. It’s rare to find a lead character this dark who also makes you root for him so hard. But that’s what Vincenzo does so well — it embraces its anti-hero and never tries to soften him.

A Hero Who Never Stops Being a Villain (and That’s the Point)

What I appreciated most? They didn’t try to soften him. Vincenzo stays dark, dangerous, and unapologetically mafia… and yet, somehow, you’re rooting for him the entire time.

He isn’t your typical hero—and that’s what makes his character so compelling. The show doesn’t redeem him by changing who he is; instead, it shows how someone with a dark past can choose to stand against injustice by channeling who they are, not abandoning it.

The result? A character arc that feels brutally honest and refreshingly different.

He starts as a cold, calculating consigliere with zero hesitation around violence—and ends up using those same tactics to take down the real villains: the powerful people who exploit the powerless. You start to wonder: is he truly a villain, or just a product of his circumstances?

The Evolution of a Consigliere

One of the most compelling aspects of this drama is how it lets Vincenzo grow while still staying unapologetically complex. His transformation isn’t about becoming good — it’s about learning where to direct his darkness.

And it’s done brilliantly.

From legal schemes and mafia tactics to sharp dialogue and emotionally charged moments, Vincenzo constantly shifts tone — but it always lands. The humor is biting. The suspense keeps building. And the justice served is both ruthless and satisfying.

About That Ending…

My only wish? A more solid ending.

They hint at something hopeful, but it felt a little vague to me. No spoilers—but let’s just say, I wanted a bit more clarity.

Final Thoughts: Definitely Worth Watching!

So for me, Vincenzo gets 4.5 out of 5 Finger Hearts.
