Note: FUNdex measures online discussion rather than television ratings or streaming views. Dramas and performers may appear based on buzz generated by trailers, promotional events, casting news, interviews, and other online activity, including before a drama officially premieres. 🆕 New means new to this week’s Top 10 table, not necessarily a newly released K-drama or a performer making their debut. 🔁 RE means a drama previously appeared in the Top 10, dropped out, and has now re-entered the rankings.

What’s New This Week

The Ordinary Jackpot entered the drama ranking at No. 6 with 5.54% Buzz Share after its September 10 premiere. The Scandal entered at No. 10 with 3.43% ahead of its September 18 premiere. Their arrival moved Flex x Cop 2 and The Affair Was Just the Beginning out of the Top 10.

The performer table added Lee Jun-hyuk at No. 7 for The Ordinary Jackpot, along with Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook at Nos. 9 and 10 for The Scandal. Lee Hyun-gyun returned to the performer Top 10 at No. 8 for New Recruit 4: Sabotage after appearing at No. 7 two weeks ago.

Three Takeaways From This Week’s Rankings

1. Four Hands, Two Sonatas keeps a narrow lead

Four Hands, Two Sonatas remained No. 1, but New Recruit 4: Sabotage finished only 0.71 percentage points behind. Together, the top two accounted for 36.21% of the week’s measured drama buzz.

2. Two post-premiere dramas reshape the middle of the table

Made in Korea 2 rose three places to No. 3, while A Love Other Than Yours climbed one spot to No. 4. Both also placed lead performers in the top five, showing that their drama-level attention coincided with strong cast attention.

3. New entries tighten the lower half

The Ordinary Jackpot entered at No. 6 only 0.02 percentage points ahead of Mousetrap, while The Scandal entered at No. 10 with both of its leads in the performer Top 10. Small Buzz Share gaps leave the lower positions closely grouped.

Reading Between the Numbers

Four Hands, Two Sonatas continues to lead across both FUNdex tables. The drama ranks No. 1, while Lee Jun-young and Song Kang hold the top two performer positions with 8.40% and 7.79%.

A Love Other Than Yours has two performers in the top five, with Seo Kang Jun at No. 3 and Ahn Eun-jin at No. 5. Made in Korea 2 ranks one place higher on the drama table, while Hyun Bin places No. 4 among performers. These placements suggest that both dramas are generating attention at the title and cast levels.

The Scandal enters the drama ranking at No. 10 while Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook rank Nos. 9 and 10 among performers. Because the drama had not yet premiered when the rankings were updated, the pairing indicates that pre-release discussion was partly centered on its leads.

New Recruit 4: Sabotage remains No. 2 with Lee Hyun-gyun at No. 8, while Mousetrap ranks No. 7 without a performer in the current Top 10. The contrast shows that a high drama ranking does not always correspond to multiple individually ranked cast members.

Global Streaming Snapshot

K-dramas claimed two spots in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows for the week of September 7 to September 13, 2026.

Mousetrap ranked No. 6 worldwide with 1.8 million views, while Four Hands, Two Sonatas followed at No. 7 with 1.5 million views.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas and Mousetrap appear on both lists, but their order differs. Four Hands, Two Sonatas leads FUNdex at No. 1 and ranks No. 7 on Netflix, while Mousetrap ranks No. 7 on FUNdex and No. 6 on Netflix.

The two datasets should be read separately. FUNdex measures online conversation around Korean TV and OTT content, while Netflix reports worldwide viewing activity on its platform.

Beyond Netflix

After five consecutive weeks in Prime Video’s non-English Original series ranking, See You Tomorrow has dropped out of the chart.

This week, A Love Other Than Yours ranks No. 6 among Prime Video’s most-watched non-English Original series worldwide for September 7 to September 13. It does not appear in Prime Video’s overall Top 10 Original Series ranking, which combines English and non-English titles.

The change marks a shift in the K-drama presence on Prime Video’s weekly chart, with A Love Other Than Yours now carrying that visibility as it also ranks No. 4 on FUNdex with 12.17% Buzz Share. Seo Kang Jun and Ahn Eun-jin place Nos. 3 and 5 among drama performers.

Looking Ahead

The next FUNdex update will show whether Four Hands, Two Sonatas can maintain its 0.71-point lead over New Recruit 4: Sabotage, and whether Lee Jun-young and Song Kang remain the top two drama performers.

Made in Korea 2 and A Love Other Than Yours are another close pair to watch after finishing only 0.12 percentage points apart at Nos. 3 and 4. A Love Other Than Yours also enters the next week with a No. 6 position among Prime Video’s non-English Originals.

The Ordinary Jackpot and Mousetrap are separated by 0.02 percentage points at Nos. 6 and 7. The Scandal’s September 18 premiere will also provide the first post-premiere test for a drama that already places two leads in the performer Top 10.

I’ll also be watching The Scandal closely. It has already entered the FUNdex Top 10 ahead of its September 18 premiere, with Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook both appearing in the performer rankings. That kind of pre-release attention makes it one of the dramas I’m most curious to watch over the next few weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FUNdex?

FUNdex is a weekly entertainment buzz ranking published by Good Data Corporation in South Korea. It tracks online discussion around television and OTT content, including news coverage, blogs, social media, online communities, and video platforms.

What does Buzz Share mean?

Buzz Share represents a drama or performer’s percentage of the total tracked online conversation for that week. A higher percentage means that title or performer accounted for a larger share of the measured buzz.

Are FUNdex rankings the same as television ratings?

No. FUNdex measures online attention and conversation, not television viewership. A drama can generate strong buzz even if its TV ratings or streaming numbers tell a different story.

Why do Netflix and FUNdex rankings sometimes differ?

The two rankings measure different things. FUNdex reflects online buzz around Korean television and OTT content, while Netflix’s Global Top 10 reflects worldwide streaming activity on Netflix.

How often are the rankings updated?

FUNdex rankings are generally updated weekly. Netflix and Prime Video also publish weekly streaming rankings, while Viki rankings are typically reported monthly through promotional ranking articles.
