While a few current favorites are still airing, the second half of 2026 is already shaping up with a strong mix of romance, thrillers, fantasy, melodrama, BL, and action-comedy. Below is a running guide to upcoming K-dramas on my radar, including premiere dates, streaming platforms when known, and quick synopses to help you decide what to add to your list next.

Agent Kim Reactivated

Premieres June 25, 2026

Streaming: TBD

This action-comedy follows a former intelligence agent whose quiet life is interrupted when he is pulled back into the world of espionage. Starring Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho, the series promises a mix of action, humor, and unlikely partnerships.

The Prosecutor’s Proposal

A BL mystery-thriller about a perfectionist prosecutor and a rookie investigator tied together by a murder from 15 years earlier. As they uncover corruption inside a powerful corporation and the prosecution itself, their partnership becomes both dangerous and deeply personal.

A romance thriller about a successful neurosurgeon whose estranged wife is kidnapped just one day after he asks for a divorce. Suddenly treated as a suspect, he must go on the run while trying to uncover the real criminals, save his wife, and confront the secrets buried inside their broken marriage.

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 10th Anniversary Trip

Celebrate a decade of fantasy-romance magic with this 4-episode travel reunion special in Gangneung. Original stars Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, and Yoo In-na return to iconic filming locations like Jumunjin Breakwater. Together, the cast revisits classic props, shares unreleased behind-the-scenes stories, and reflects on the show's massive legacy. 

Family Register

A 120-episode melodrama about a woman who has been unfairly blamed for her family’s downfall since birth. Branded by stigma and social judgment, Na Jin-i fights to reclaim her life, dignity, and place in a world determined to cast her out.

The Apartment Job

A second-chance romantic comedy about a celebrated film director and a struggling reporter who once shared teenage dreams of making movies. When they reunite 15 years later, old feelings and buried ambitions resurface, giving them another chance at love and the lives they once imagined.

The East Palace

Premieres July 17, 2026

Streaming: Netflix

One of July’s most exciting dark fantasy premieres, The East Palace stars Nam Joo-hyuk and Roh Yoon-seo as a ghost-slaying swordsman and a court lady who can hear spirits. Together, they investigate a deadly supernatural curse inside the royal palace. 

The historical fantasy series combines palace intrigue, spirits, and Korean shamanistic folklore in what is shaping up to be one of the summer's biggest K-drama premieres.


Spooky in Love

An occult romance starring Park Eun-bin as a haunted hotel CEO and Yang Se-jong as a prosecutor terrified of ghosts. When a single touch causes him to see the dead too, the two are pulled into a chaotic mix of supernatural mystery, reluctant partnership, and unexpected romance.

A Shop for Killers Season 2

Premieres July 22, 2026

Returning stars Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun reprise their roles in the highly anticipated second season of the action-thriller. An action-comedy thriller starring Gong Hyo-jin as an ordinary wife, mother, and office worker with one very dangerous secret: she is also the legendary assassin “Kingfisher.” After returning from maternity leave, her double life gets even messier when her journalist husband begins investigating the very killer he does not realize he married.

Our Sticky Love

Premieres August 7, 2026

Streaming: Netflix

Starring Ha Young and Jung Hae-in, this feel-good romantic comedy follows an ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory and moves in with a boxing coach claiming to be her boyfriend. Unbeknownst to her, she is his first love—and his lie may be the only thing keeping her safe.

Flex X Cop Season 2

Wealthy heir turned detective Jin I-su returns to Violent Crimes Unit 1 after completing police academy training. He is partnered with Ju Hye-ra, his strict former academy instructor, and the two tackle high-stakes crimes while navigating frequent personality clashes.

A Trap Called Desire

Premiers August 10, 2026

A revenge melodrama about a woman falsely accused of murder who sets out to expose the truth and reclaim her stolen life. Starring Jang Seo-hee and Jeon Hye-won, the KBS2 daily drama airs Monday through Friday.

OK, Let's Get Divorced

The KBS drama stars Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-suk as a married couple who run a wedding-dress business but decide to end their own exhausting marriage. It premieres August 19 at 11 p.m. KST 

Mousetrap

Premieres August 28, 2026

Streaming: Netflix

A dark psychological thriller starring Sol Kyung-gu and Ryu Jun-yeol. Based on the webtoon Field Mouse and inspired by a Korean folktale about a rat assuming a person’s identity after eating their nail clippings, the story follows a reclusive novelist whose life is stolen by an unknown impostor. As everything begins to unravel, he reluctantly teams up with a former loan shark to track down the person responsible and reclaim his identity.

Four Hands, Two Sonatas

Premieres August 29, 2026

Network: tvN

Streaming: TBD

A coming-of-age music romance named after the piano technique “four hands,” where two musicians play a single piano together. Set at an arts high school, the drama follows friendship, rivalry, love, and artistic ambition as three young people grow into professional adult pianists.

100 Days of Lies

A historical spy romance starring Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jin-young. Portraits of Delusion

Premieres: Second Half of 2026 (TBA)

A mystery fantasy thriller starring Suzy, Kim Seon-ho, Choi Hyun-wook, and Heo Joon-ho. Set in 1935 Gyeongseong and based on the popular webtoon Delusion, the series follows a struggling painter who is hired to create the portrait of a mysterious woman who has lived in seclusion for decades—only to uncover dark secrets that blur the line between myth and reality.
